Men’s and Women’s Archery Teams defeat Korea National Sport Univesity and Keimyung University to win gold.
The Kyung Hee University Men’s and Women’s Archery Teams both claimed gold at the 29th Korean Archery Association (KAA) Presidential University · Industry Archery Competition held in commemoration of the Korean Archery Teams’ past victories in the Olympic Games.
This competition was held at the Yulha Sports Park in Daegu from June 18 to 22. The Kyung Hee men’s team defeated Andong National University (227:226) and Pai Chai University (223:217), advancing to the finals on June 22 to defeat Korea National Sport University with a score of 227:223.
In particular, Dasomi Jung (’09, Department of Coaching) defeated Eunjeong Kim of Andong National University in the college women’s individual finals with a set score of 7:3 to win her second gold of the competition.
“We focused our training on the team competition,” said Seongwon Jung. “I’m happy that we achieved our goal of gold in both the men’s and women’s team competitions.” He added his hope to “perform to the best of our ability in the remaining competitions for good results in October’s National Sports Festival.”
Following victory in the KAA Presidential University · Industry Archery Competition, both the men’s and women’s teams claimed the gold in the Korea University Archery Association (KUAA) Presidential Competition which was held from June 26 to 29 at Kwangju Women’s University.
