Starting next year, Kyung Hee University will run a graduate program called “United Nation and the Art of Peace (UNAP)” jointly with United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA)
On October 14, 2016, Kyung Hee University signed an agreement with UNITAR and WFUNA at the UNITAR headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, that laid the groundwork for a joint graduate degree program. The three institutions will work together through the UNAP program to train 15 to 35 students each year for careers in the UN and other international organizations.
The two-year course work will consist of an online curriculum provided by UNITAR and an offline curriculum at Kyung Hee Graduate Institute of Peace Studies (KHGIPS) with internship opportunities every year at UNITAR and WFNUA. The master’s degree will be awarded at Kyung Hee University and the certificate will bear a line that says “in partnership with UNITAR.” There will also be a one-year diploma program that will consist of five courses from UNITAR and one or two courses from KHGIPS. Those who complete this diploma program will receive a certificate by UNITAR with a line that says “in partnership with Kyung Hee University.”
