Acupuncture and Meridian Science Research Center (SRC)

Goals
Many countries are currently focusing their efforts on researching the effectiveness and generation of the effects of acupuncture and meridian therapy that were developed systematically and experientially in Korea. However, due to the lack of infrastructure, Korea is on the brink of losing its advantage in this area to China, Japan, and Western countries.
Therefore, the goals of the Acupuncture and Meridian Science Research center are:
To create a "third medicine" that combines traditional medical science theories with cutting-edge medical technologies and medical imaging;
To define the control mechanisms for the effects of acupuncture and to develop new treatment methods through cooperative research in acupuncture and meridian therapy, brain imaging, neurobiology, molecular biology, genomics, and proteomics;
and to bring together researchers from various fields and disciplines to offer new directions in acupuncture and meridian science and to present a new paradigm of meridian therapy through research on the system of signal transmissions within the human body.
