Kyung Hee Basketball Team Claims Victory in 1st Round of 2012 University Basketball League
The Kyung Hee University basketball team claimed victory in the first round of the 2012 KB University Basketball League.
Beginning with the season opener on March 19 against Yonsei University at the Seoul Student Gymnasium and continuing to win the game against Korea University at the Korea University Tiger Dome on May 1, Kyung Hee claimed 10 consecutive victories to win the first round undefeated.

Overcomes Yonsei University in 2nd Round to Win 37 Consecutive Games.
The biggest match of the season was against Korea University. With nine consecutive wins, Kyung Hee faced Korea University which also had an eight win winning streak in a spectacular game. Kyung Hee fell behind in the first half but began to catch up in the third quarter, taking a 10 point lead against Korea University. Korea University fought back with immense determination, catching up to Kyung Hee with just 4.5 seconds left on the clock. With just seconds left to go, Kyung Hee’s Min Koo Kim (Department of Coaching) hit a buzzer beater to clench the win at 91-88.
The final game of the first round against Hanyang University on May 8 at the Hanyang University Olympic Gymnasium was halted due to a scoreboard malfunction at halftime and has been rescheduled for May 16 at the College of Physical Education on the Kyung Hee Global Campus.
In the first game of the second round against Yonsei University on May 11, Kyung Hee built upon its 26 game winning streak from last season, claiming its 37th consecutive victory with a score of 87-79.
